Chicks throw in a couple of ..
The Dixie Chicks drew about 10,000 to the GEC Friday night.
The third level was closed off, but the floor and the first two levels were pretty full — and rowdy.
For the most part, the Chicks left politics out of the show, but they did hit the stage to a full-throttle version of Hail to the Chief.
Lead singer Natalie Maines also thanked the crowd for being there, acknowleging the southeastern U.S. was a tough sell for this tour.
“At least you didn’t have to cancel the whole South,” she said to loud applause.

My National TV Debut!
I am a huge fan of LIVE with Regis and Kelly, so you could imagine I was more than honored when they asked that I help out on a mother’s day surprise for a local Tennessean. The story aired in May, but for some reason it ran again this morning. If you didn’t catch it check it out (HERE!) Don’t ask why they froze such an unflattering picture of me! I still get the giggles when Kelly says my name! I love her!
Christmas In The City!
The tree is shining bright in downtown Nashville and now the weather is making it feel more like the holiday season! Thursday night a few folks came out for the lighting of the tree on the Public Square. The tree, donated by a family in Donelson, is the biggest in Nashville’s history at 35 feet tall. It’s adorned with over 4,000 multi-colored lights!
Mayor Bill Purcell, the Antioch High School chorus and country singer Danielle Peck were among those in attendance.

NY DOLLS SHOW!
A rush of energy filled City Hall when the legendary New York Dolls busted out on stage with their classic Looking For A Kiss Thursday night.
David Johansen (AKA Buster Poindexter)

The energy never died down as the Dolls continued rocking out and the crowd chanted along every lyric. All the punks in town came out for the show, barely filling the room half full.
Sylvain Sylvain (Original Doll)

I’m not sure I’ll ever get the chance to see the New York Dolls again; it was a night of music history.
