This year’s Sound & Speed event — a fund-raiser that joins NASCAR and country music — happens next weekend.
Supermodel Niki Taylor is gonna be there and it’s sure to awaken fine memories.
That’s where she met her current hubby, driver Burney Lamar. I also met Niki for the first time that night. Alas, I didn’t have the same good fortune. I digress.
The big concert next Saturday will be Jo Dee Messina, Josh Turner and Rodney Atkins, and that happens at the GEC.
There are also lots of other seminars, autograph sessions and all that good stuff, and all the money goes to a couple of charities, including a camp for seriously ill children.
