'People': Shania and Mutt split over a Swiss Miss

People wins the race for floating the first theory for why Shania Twain and producer Robert (Mutt) Lange split after 14 years.
People’s sources blame another woman.
Said splitter-upper: Marie-Anne Thiebaud, longtime secretary and manager of the couple’s chateau. It’s ALWAYS the chateau manager!! But I digress.
“Mutt and Marie-Anne left their spouses for each other and are still in a relationship,” one source tells People.
Mutt says that that rumor about his Swiss Miss is wrong.
“It’s absolutely not the reason [for the separation],” he said.
Mutt further denies he and Marie-Anne are romantically involved.
