Seen In The City What's Hot MCTV

Love Merle Haggard and the environment? Got $1,000?

Well, I’ve got a deal for you!

Merle Haggard doesn’t get into town much, but he’ll be here Wednesday night for a show at the Ryman (for which there are very few tix left.)

Before that, though, Merle and Vince Gill will host a $1,000-a-plate lunch as a fund-raiser for the Green Train Foundation, which, as you might’ve guessed, is raising awareness about environmental issues across the country.

You can actually go, and if you’d like to, call Paige Dixon at 742-3193.

Lunch will, of course, be organic, and there’s tasty wine and you’ll hear a little about the Green Train from conductor Bob Wolf.

Word is that Big Kenny of Big & Rich and Steve Cropper (co-writer of Sitting on the Dock of the Bay) will also drop by.
