Hold up: Jessica Simpson wasn't booed after all
Big Web sites like TMZ.com, The Superficial, even People.com all picked up a story from the Kenosha News in Wisconsin:
Jessica Simpson got booed at the Country Thunder USA Festival.
But four Music Row insiders at the show told me today that just didn’t happen.
And Chicago freelance reporter Liz Crokein took video and says Jessica’s show was boo-free.
By the way, the same festival has already asked her to play again next year.

Music Row Insiders? I bet they were sitting in the good seats up front or behind the stage. What about the common folk out in the audience? The ones that buy the music. I’m sure the insiders couldn’t hear the boo’s from where they were or see the people who got thrown out for throwing things at her. Childish yes! Quit shoving her down our throats. We are gagging.

She WAS booed. I was there. They were scattered about but my section was laughing at these hot guys that booed whenever she started talking. Some women behind me booed when she walked out. She said she was going to cut her set by two songs and people around me starting to cheer. So those INSIDERS must work for Joe because I heard the boos and I had lousy seats.

Those “Four music row insiders” wouldn’t happen to work on the label Jessica is on by any chance? LOL! Why else would they be at the show in the first place?
I can hear them now when the story broke of her being booed “Oh no! We can’t have this get out…then people *really* won’t buy the CD!” “Hmmm…let’s try and tell them it NEVER happened and they will believe US and not THEM!”

To answer JC, no, none of those Music Row insiders who talked to me worked for Jessica’s label. The festival had lots of country artists on it, so there were Music Row types from most labels — and booking labels and management companies and festival organizers. Good question, though, because I had the same thought, so I purposely stayed away from anyone who might directly make money from Jessica.

Somebody is lying. There are too many post from around the net that say she was boo’d because they were there. I can see the People article as Joe Simpson damage control. Personally I don’t think its the music they don’t like. It sounds okay like any of the newbie. Its her whole image of barging into town and thinking she can get up on the stage at LPfield with the greats like Faith, Martina, Sara, and Carrie. She is a nobody in country music. It really insults the intelligence of country music fans to have her forced upon us.

Even People Magazine DID say she was booed. Joe Simpson is coming out with his take on it: that Jessica was the best so far. Please. He was there in his cowboy hat and boots looking as fake as she did. Everyone was laughing.

Did anyone see her outfit for that show? She needs to quit with the Daisy Dukes, boots, plaid shirts, western belts and western jewelry. It looks like a costume that you would come up with if you had to dress up for a country themed party. She looks like a fool. Hopefully she will go away and try another type of music soon.

I had to go check it out for myself on youtube. I got a good belly roll just like the one Jessica is sporting these days. She forgot the words to her only single when she shook a fans hand. She sounded very unprofessional for having stage experience either that or she didn’t rehearse. I heard a loud boo on the video.
