She’s No. 1 (and No. 2)! Taylor Swift can do no wrong
by Brad on Jul.24, 2008, under Uncategorized
This only happens about once a decade or so.
But Taylor Swift actually holds down the No. 1 and No. 2 positions on country album sales charts this week.
Taylor’s new CD/DVD Wal-Mart-only combo, Beautiful Eyes, debuted at No. 1 with 44,652 copies sold.
And of course, her debut self-titled CD, released TWO YEARS AGO, finished No. 2 with another 34,622 copies sold.
Amazing.
This woman’s on fire, yo! Next up, Taylor will cure a rare disease and juggle two chains saws and a bowling ball.

Good for you Taylor! Taylor is a sweetheart of a girl inside and out and that seemed to have worked for Carrie. Keep up the role model image ladies. Our kids need someone to look up to that have some values. You also show them that hard work gets you where you dream to be.

Taylor is over-rated and remixing all her songs to pop– that is the only reason she is sellingn well. Her vocals are horrid- she is the worst singer in all of country music- terrible! I don’t get the hype- and she is arrogant as well. Give me Carrie Underwood anyday over taylor- Carrie sings circles around taylor and is a much nicer person too.

well, I agree that Carrie sings circles around Taylor and Taylor doesn’t sound good live but Taylor is an amazing song writer, a sweetheart, and a great role model. Thats alot more than some folks out there trying to sing country music.

I don’t think she’s the worst singer, i think fake Jessica Simpson is. Taylor’s got all the country teenie boppers on her side. she should really go over to pop, but she knows she won’t make it there (they’d blow her away). she knows if she stay on the country side, mix some pop, she’ll b allright. she’s no dummy.

I agree that T. Swift just doesnt have that great of a voice. Anybody that has heard her live knows that - she sounds amateurish. Walk into any church on Sunday morning in Nashville and you will find a half dozen young girls that have a better voice. She is popular because she is marketable (young, blond, cute, fun to watch). Thats what show business is about, marketability.
