Jessica Simpson makes false start live on GMA
by Brad on Sep.09, 2008, under Country music, Television

Did you check out Jessica Simpson on ABC’s Good Morning America this morning, the very morning Jessica is releasing her first-ever country album, Do You Know?
Cute and sassy, yo!
GMA’s Robin Roberts pointed out a fan wearing a Tony Romo jersey, thus referring to Jessica’s Dallas Cowboys QB boyfriend.
That led to Jessica telling an Eagles fan in the crowd: “That’s next week. And we’re gonna kick your butt too!”
Some not-so-nice folks pointed out that Jessica re-started her last live song because she couldn’t hear in her ear monitors, but I thought that was more cute than a diva moment.
“”Hold on,” she told the band. “I know this is live TV but I can’t hear anything. Do it again!
“One, two three…!”

Brad I told you she sucked arse. I told you she has forgotten the lyrics at every concert. I told you she has had the band restart songs. I guarantee you there were some boo’s at Country Thunder. She drops her earring and picks it up and tries to put it on?? Paula Abdul will tell you “Never restart a song”. Jessica is a trainwreck just like the critics wrote. I’m gonna go out on a limb her too and say IMO that she isn’t even with Tony Romo anymore. Everything out there is old old old.

A real pro doesn’t stop the song. A real pro pulls the earpieces out and does his or best with the live sound on stage while signaling the problem to the sound people. Or was that not an option because Ms Simpson needs the guide vocal in her ear to try to sing in tune?

Come on people, give the girl a break! Nobody is perfect, nothing goes right for all of us all the time now does it? To Jill & blueblood, what is your claim to fame? Ever messed up while doing it? Don’t be so quick to judge other people and remember how it feels, Jill, to be told that you suck arse, just as I’m doing right now.

I really, really like Jess. I think her newest songs are awesome. And i think she is alot better than some of the new “blondes” that have arrived on the country scene. Jess has been around and has paid her “dues”. Unlike some others that are going to be Superstars with the firswt single that they put out. Go Jessica and best of luck to you.
