Trace Adkins: It’s tough to play a show in Nashville

Hard to believe anything makes big ol’ Trace Adkins anxious.
But playing a show in Music City does.
“It always seems to feel like it’s a jaded crowd and you’re being critiqued even more than you usually are,” Trace told me before taking the stage as the headliner for Thursday night’s Capitol Pub Crawl show on Demonbreun Street.
“So there’s a little anxiety perhaps,” he added.
Then he scoffed.
“I ain’t worried about it. Whatever.”
