Kenny Chesney, Kid Rock, The Wailers pack Tootsies

You may have heard the rumors spreading all afternoon Monday that stadium-packer Kenny Chesney would join the band The Wailers in the honky-tonk Tootsies Monday night.
Lines started forming before 5 p.m., and the place was wall-to-wall fans by the time Kenny hit the stage, around 10:30 p.m. or so. Oh, but that’s not all: Kid Rock came and joined the party, at least for a song or two.
The fare was mostly island music, as The Wailers formed in Jamaica in 1963. And Kenny loves the islands….
You can see some video on News 2 This Morning on Tuesday.
Part Two. Here’s a really random sighting:
Earlier Monday, Stephen Baldwin was in town to sign copies of a book he wrote, called The Death and Life of Gabriel Phillips.
He was at LifeWay Coolsprings Crossing when — lo and behold — young Miley Cyrus showed, I’m told by several folks who were there.
OK, Kid Rock and Kenny are friends. But the Stephen Baldwin/Miley connection? Got me swingin.
Stephen Baldwin/Trace Adkins, I’d get, ’cause of the Celebrity Apprentice connection…. But no. No Trace.

I was at Tootsie’s tonight with two friends to see Kenny…we left after his second song(First was “Beer in Mexico,” second was “Summertime”). Too crowded, couldn’t see the stage let alone Kenny, and the music kept cutting in and out. Oh yea, we also left because of sooooo many rude people, especially females, pushing and shoving from the back of the crowd trying to get up front, even though they could plainly see people packed in like sardines.

Only part of the information in this article is accurate. There was not a line until around 7:00pm. Kenny started a little after 9:30 and played for over 3 hours.
Although there were plenty of rude people shoving their way to the front, there were also a lot of polite fans that were willing to share their stools, offer a way toward the front so everyone could get a picture. We made it upstairs during the second song and by the last 45 minutes I was 4 people back from the stage. It was awesome!
