TN’s first Miss USA: Trump should’ve fired Tara Conner

Miss USA 2000 Lynnette Cole – a Columbia, Tenn., native — was here to talk about her first movie. (See story below.)

And Miss USA 2006 Tara Conner – who got in trouble for drugs and drinking — has been in Nashville as a cast member for CMT’s Gone Country 3.

So I had to ask Lynnette — if you were Donald Trump, would you have fired Tara after the controversy?

“Um, my honest opinion? Yes. Wtihout even thinking,” Lynnette tells me.

“Because there were other women in history who got the boot before for doing siliar things like that. So yeah, absolutely.”

We found an agent for Tara, who e-mailed that there would be no comment from Tara’s camp.

   I enjoyed the movie, shattered. Great local talent! I was very impressed by the four women, playing lead. Thrilled to see all was filmed and cast in nashville. We need to see more work shot here. It is obvious we can do it! Great job, lynnette and rest of the cast and crew!

   Tara endured abuse as a child, which lead to her drug and alcohol dependencies. She planned on getting away from where her abuse started, in her home town. I commend Tara for being the best she could be to find a means of escaping from her painful past. If anybody would have had to endure what she went thru wouldn’t you do anything in means of getting away from the person that did that to you? What she did wasn’t enough to get her fired, she wasn’t in no skin magazine you know! Lynette’s movie ‘Shattered’ looks like a great movie. Best wishes to both pageant winners.
