Jamey Johnson, Randy Houser to do joint charity show
by Brad on Apr.22, 2009, under Concerts, Country music
Did ya know that Jamey Johnson (In Color) and Randy Houser (Anything Goes) are buddies who used to do concerts together as “The Traler Park Show”? (Yes, I’m spelling that correctly. I’ll explain later.)
Jamey and Randy did those shows with a songwriter, Jerrod Niemann, and now the three are reuniting in “The Traler Park Revival Show”, as a fund-raiser for the Opry Trust Fund.
That show’ll be at 7:30 p.m. May 28 at the Ryman.
The $20 tix are available starting Friday at the Ryman’s box office and the Opry’s box office.
OK, so here’s the “Traler” story from Randy:
“The name ‘Traler Park’ originated years ago when myself and several guys, including Jamey, shared a writer’s room at the UA Tower in Nashville. We named the room Trailer Park, so a sign went up above the door, TRALER PARK, and it stuck — misspelling and all.”

This sounds like a darn good show to me. Since the concert has a trailer park theme, I think its only fitting that they invite Crystal Hoyt from the group Trailer Choir to join them on stage! Somehow I reckon all those redneck boys in the audience might fancy that! (lol)
And for an opening act I nominate J.R. and the Roadkill Choir. Crystal Hoyt could turn the tables on J.R. the boys by taking the lead vocal on “You’re Too Ugly To Be Cheating On Me”! Yee Haw!
