Reba McEntire to do first Opry show in years
by Brad on Apr.28, 2009, under Concerts, Country music
Reba McEntire is gonna play the Opry May 9, and it’s the first time in a while.
In fact, it’s the first time since she played the title role in her WB sitcom, the first time since she played the title role in Annie Get Your Gun on Broadway.
And Reba’s coming back in a big way.
She’ll do a four-song set in the 9-9:30 p.m. slot.
Tickets to the show are available at Opry.com and 615-871-OPRY.
Reba has a new record label and a new single on the charts, Strange. I believe ya might hear that song May 9.

I’m looking forward to hearing Reba back on the Opry after all this time. I think she should chose a “duets” theme and invite friends like Linda Davis, Kelly Clarkson, and most of all Vince Gill to do a rip roaring version of “Oklahoma Swing”! Well, I can dream can’t I…..
