Reba to autograph at CMA Fest for first time in 13 years
by Brad on May.18, 2009, under Country music
Every since Fan Fair moved downtown and became the CMA Music Festival in 2001, fans have complained that big stars stopped signing in the autograph halls.
Looks like the stars are listening: Reba McEntire, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood all have committed to do autograph signings at this year’s festival, being held, June 11-14.
It’s the first time Reba will sign since the ol’ Fan Fair days in 1996.
And in Carrie’s and Taylor’s defense, those two ladies have indeed made a practice of doing the CMA Fest autograph thang.
This year, Taylor is supposed to be in the autograph hall in the convention center for five hours, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 14.
In fact, Taylor did eight straight hours last year, and that was the longest consecutive signing since the Garth Brooks legendary 23-hour run in 1996.
Among the others who have committed to what’s being called the Greased Lightning Fan Fair Hall:
Montgomery Gentry, Julianne Hough, Jake Owen, Little Big Town, Jimmy Wayne, LeAnn Rimes, Luke Bryan and Wynonna.
