Accused stalker faces Gary Allan with little evidence

by Brad on Jul.21, 2009, under Country music

In a wild hearing, a judge made permanent a restraining order against a woman accused of stalking country singer Gary Allan (Watching Airplanes).

That didn’t happen without some courtroom fireworks, though. The alleged stalker, Katherine Walker, served as her own attorney, and put Gary through some at-times bizarre questioning.

Among other things, Walker accused the country singer of:
* Having phone sex with her;
* Sending her messages through MySpace and Facebook fan sites;
* Dating girls under 18;
* Telling another singer-songwriter to kiss Walker on the lips;
* Regularly taking drugs; and
* Drinking to excess.

Allan denied all those charges, repeatedly. He also said on the stand he never even had any knowledge of her before the first of several times she showed up at his Hendersonville house.

Allan told Walker directly: “I’m over this. You scare me as a person.”

Said Gary’s attorney, Allen Ehmling: “She makes all these allegations. There’s nothing based in fact or truth, and when it comes time, which is court today, to bring forth the evidence, she brought nothing.”

Sumner County Chancery Court Judge Tom Gray made permanent the restraining order on Walker, and threatened her with jail time if she violates the restraining order.

Walker still faces criminal charges stemming from a May incident where Walker went to Allan’s house and threw furniture in his pool, destroyed planters and vandalized two cars. In court papers, Walker admitted to the vandalism, claiming it was payback for him toying with her affections.

    This is my favorite of all the articles….lol. One has to agree that yeah Kate is crazy.

    Katherine Anne Walker, 47, of Nashville is charged with burglary, stalking, vandalism over $1,000 and theft under $500. She represented herself during the hearing in Sumner County Chancery Court.

    “I’m crazy, right?” Walker asked Allan as he denied her allegations against himself during the proceedings.

    “Apparently,” he replied.
