Amy Grant to host the biggest yard sale ever

OK, that might be slightly exaggerated, but Amy Grant is having a pretty dang big yard sale from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at University Park at Lipscomb University.
The money goes to two great programs in two of Nashville’s public housing complexes — and you might be able to get some great deals. Think furniture, computers, appliances, clothes, sports equipment, art, most anything you can think of.
So, do you have some of this stuff that you want to get rid of? You can do that the day before, on Friday, from 10 a.m to 6 p.m. Please do make sure you drop off donations that are in pretty decent shape.
Last year, Amy held her first “Amy Grant & Friends Yard Sale” to help the family of a 12-year-old boy with cerebral palsy.
That boy recently died, Amy told me, adding quickly, “The mother told me it was such a relief to not be strapped with medical bills afterward.”
And that was because of the $25,000 Amy raised at last year’s event.
Amy said she really had fun at the end of last year’s event, when they decided to sell whatever was left for a buck for each item.
Could that happen again this year…?
