ABC’s Robin Roberts might have learned why.

The Good Morning America personality has put together an In the Spotlight special on country music that airs at 9 tonight right here at News 2. She spent time with Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Martina McBride and others.

When I asked Robin what the biggest surprise in tonight’s show is, she referred to how Tim has confronted some guys in the crowd at his shows when he feels they’ve been disrespectful to women.

“Tim McGraw explains something about his childhood about something that happened that he witnessed with his mother and with his sister,” Robin says, “that really molded him into the man that he is today.”
