Kenny Chesney’s guitarist lands him some sugar (Get it?)
So those of you who saw Kenny Chesney’s show Saturday night at LP Field saw one unannounced guest pop up on stage.
That would be Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland. And many of you wondered: Hmmmm, Kenny is single, and Jennifer recently got divorced, so she’s single…. Does Jennifer think Kenny’s tractor is sexy?
Uh, I dunno.
But I do know that Jennifer is dating Kenny’s main guitarist, Clayton Mitchell.
And this little love connection has been going on for more than 9 months.
How’s about that? I asked, but no comment from either camp.
Seen in the City: Here’s Miley Cyrus raw and unedited!
So you love the Miley Cyrus.
You’ve heard she was a surprise guest at a Franklin fund-raiser Sunday night.
You wish you could’ve been there.
Now, thanks to Colin Lewis of JeffreySteele.com, you can see her.
Check it out as Miley performs two Jeffrey Steele songs. The first is called Simple Song.
The second, Miley sings with Jeffrey, and it’s called Hollywood Girl.

Miley Cyrus dropped in unannounced on an outdoor skate festival/fund-raiser Sunday night at Jim Warren Park in Franklin.
This was the Alex LeVasseur Memorial Skate Festival, held in memory of Alex, who died last year at age 14 in an ATV accident. It was put on by his singer/songwriter dad, Jeffrey Steele, who also is a Nashville Star judge.
And as you know, Billy Ray Cyrus is the host of Nashville Star, so, voila!, surprise appearances by both Miley and Billy Ray.
Miley, with political correctness, sang two Jeffrey Steele songs, the first called Simple Song, which Miley apparently has recorded. The second is what she calls her favorite Jeffrey Steele song, Hollywood Girl, and she put Jeffrey on the spot and the two sang it together.
I’m told all the kids in the skate park rushed to the stage when they spotted Miley. Pandemonium on wheels!
By the way, Billy Ray sang — you guessed it — Achy Breaky Heart, and a cool version of Amazing Grace. How sweet the sound.

I left CMA Music Festival for 25 hours to watch my oldest nephew, James David Schmitt, graduate from University School in Cleveland, Ohio.
We are KVELLING, people! That’s “bursting with pride,” in case you don’t speak Yiddish.
Mazel tov to James and his parents, Scott (my brudder) and Mary (his wife), and, of course, James’ brother, Ethan, who will graduate from the same school in three years (God willing).
Taylor Swift’s pink pick-up truck
A quick break from vacation to bring you this news: So what has become of the huge pink pick-up truck that Taylor Swift’s label gave her for her 18th birthday earlier this month?
It’ll be no surprise to Taylor’s fans to find out she’s donating the four-wheel pink prowler to charity. The beneficiary: NASCAR’s Victory Junction Gang Camp, for kids with chronic medical problems and serious illnesses.
Taylor’s making the donation in conjunction with her appearance at the NASCAR-meets-country Sound & Speed event next month here in Nashville, an event Jan. 11-12 that benefits the Victory Junction Gang Camp and the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum.
That’s why Taylor’s truck as I write is parked in front of the Hall of Fame.
Taylor and Alan Jackson are headlining a concert Jan. 12 at the Sommet Center as part of the Sound & Speed event.
The Victory Junction Gang Camp will use Taylor’s pick-up to pick up sick kids from the airport and take them to camp. Taylor will officially present keys to NASCAR’s Kyle Petty and his wife, Pattie, at Sound & Speed.
