Fashion for Every Body fundraiser draws everybody
The Eating Disorders Coalition throws a fund-raiser every year called “Fashion for Every Body.”
I was the token big boy, and boy, did we have fun!
Check it out.
Bret Michaels, 'Rock of Love' crew at Wildhorse tonight
But I’m sad to say, we are not invited.
There’s apparently a third installment of the VH1 Rock of Love series, where Poison lead singer Bret Michaels has tried to find love.
This third installment is called Rock of Love On the Road.
There’s gonna be a closed taping at the Wildhorse Saloon, and what you downtown folks need to know is that First and Second avenues will be shut down today at 6 p.m.
So that’s why there are three pink buses outside the Wildhorse.
If you are going, have fun! And then e-mail me what happened. Thanks!
News 2 part of Hands on Nashville, at Hillsboro High
Once a year, we at News 2 like to do some manual labor, and it’s always for the Hands On Nashville event, where volunteers go do projects for not-for-profits.
This year, we did some painting at Hillsboro High School. It ain’t easy painting green. But it sure was fun.
Big ups to my colleagues, Mike Tarrolly, Gwen Kinsey, Julie Kroenig, Neil Orne, Bob Mueller, Jesse Briggs, Maria Bealer, Billy Taylor, Alison Coe, Clare Gibson, Matt Schurk and Kamaria Mack.
Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Taylor Swift to play CMAs
Oh, but that’s not all.
Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, George Strait, Sugarland, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban.
That’s the first round of performers announced for this year’s CMA Awards show, which happens Nov. 12 at the Sommet Center.
You can still go, by the way.
Tickets are $110 to $382.50, and you can get them through TicketMaster outlets now.
Martha Stewart is coming to Nashville for a wedding
Martha Stewart, best known for here amazing cooking ability and decorating talent, can now add matchmaker to her list of titles.
Last year, Josh Turner performed his hit song Firecracker on Martha’s show.
One of Josh’s band members started flirting with Martha’s assistant and — voila! — Martha Stewart marriage time.
The groom: Josh’s utility player Kevin Haynie. The bride: Martha’s assistant, Liesl Manning. The couple is getting married this weekend, here in Nashville, but they’re keeping the location hush hush.
And, of course, A-Lister’s Martha and Josh will both be in attendance.
The wedding will be featured special on the Style Network in December and photos of the shindig will be in the winter edition of Martha Stewart Weddings magazine.
Ouch! Billy Ray asked about Miley 'dating' a 20-year-old
Check it out: People.com has yet another picture of Miley Cyrus with ex-Nashville Star contestant/underwear model Justin Gaston.
There’s also a video on YouTube. Miley is touching Justin’s arm for a few seconds in the video, and at the end, a tabloid dude asks, “Hey Billy, how do you feel about your daughter dating a 20-year-old, and she’s 15?”
Billy Ray doesn’t answer.
I know a Justin Gaston pal here who insists even today that Miley and Justin aren’t romantically involved. But they have been hanging out a lot together.
After hanging around Universal Studios in California, Miley and Justin also went to last night’s Pussycat Dolls show, my Brad spy says.
Miley and Justin soon will be separated, as he is off to Milan, Italy, for a week, presumably to do some modeling, my Justin pal says. Then Justin is going to Louisiana for a family wedding, and, at least so far, Miley will NOT be Justin’s date for the wedding.
Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson are "not really" friends
Hard to believe anything could go wrong after getting hitched at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge.
Not only did that one (out of four) weddings for Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson go south, but Kid Rock tells Ellen DeGeneres that he and Pam are “not really” friends.
“If I saw her somewhere I’d say hi, but I try not to go in the same circles,” he said. “I try to avoid that.”
Why’s that, Kid?
“I touched stove, stove was hot, I think I not touch stove anymore.”
This shouldn’t be a huge surprise to anyone. You might recall Kid Rock wrote a kiss-off country song to Pam, called Half Your Age, on his album, Rock and Roll Jesus.
The chorus:
I found someone new who treats me better
She don’t [complain] about things we ain’t got
When I sing this tune it don’t upset her
She’s half your age and twice as hot
Intern Adam to get job back after leaking Britney song
If you listen to pop station 107.5 The River, you might have been following the story of personality Intern Adam leaking Britney Spears‘ new comeback song, Womanizer, on the station’s Web page Friday.
Intern Adam, a.k.a. Adam Davis, had a friend at Britney’s label, Jive Records, play the song for him over the phone. Adam grabbed some recording equipment and soon realized he could cause quite the international stir.
“I leaked the Britney Spears song. The first in the world to have it. That’s pretty cool,” he said.
The song raced all around the Web, getting Adam and his radio station big Internet buzz. But the buzz was short lived: The station suspended Adam just an hour or so after he posted a 40-second clip of the song on the air.
I’m sure you’re thinking the same thing I was: Big radio hoax!
But The River chief Rich Davis says it was no hoax, that Britney’s label was upset, that Adam really did get suspended.
That seems like it will end shortly, though.
“Haven’t determined when he’ll be back yet. I don’t think later than Monday,” Rich e-mailed me.

Grey's Anatomy Makes Taylor Swift Boo Hoo
Grey’s Anatomy didn’t have to display a dying fiance, failing relationship, or heart stopping explosion to bring Taylor Swift to tears.
The popular primetime show is using a Taylor song, White Horse, from her upcoming album in the Grey’s season premiere this Thursday.
When Taylor found out, she broke down in tears, she told Billboard.
Evidently, having a song on this show has been Taylor’s life goal!
“My love of Grey’s Anatomy has never wavered,” she said.
“It’s my longest relationship to date.”
